Ryuyo Kaiyo, a campsite for beginners campers.

Last week my kids and I tried this campsite in Iwata recommended by inHamamatsu website https://www.inhamamatsu.com/activity/recommended-campsites.php , called Ryuyo Kaiyo (marine park) auto-camp. This campsite is only 30 minutes drive from Hamamatsu station.

Ryuyo Kaiyo campsite is perfect for families with small children and beginner campers. You could even be spontaneous, come empty-handed because there are plenty of rental items like; tent, tarp, chairs, BBQ grill, table, etc.

The facility in Ryuyo Kaiyo campsite is one of the best compare to other campsites. There are toilets, sinks to wash your plates and grill, shower-rooms, activity toys for kids to borrow, and even washing machines. They also provide a small square wooden deck for you to put your grill or fire-pit.

The shower fee is 100yen for 6 minutes. It opens from 8AM to 10PM.

There is also a hot spring bathing facility where you can easily drop in next to the campsite.

In Ryuyo Marine Park campsites, there are several options of accommodation. You can choose your favorite space such as cottages, mobile homes, electricity sites, and free sites.

The most popular is the free-site tents, which is a big field of grass where you can freely set your tent anywhere you like, as long as it doesn't bother other campers. This site cost 3140yen.

There there's the camp area with electricity and private sink. This one cost 5230yen.

You can even rent a trailer house to experience what it's like to sleep in a trailer, for 13,200yen per night.

Cottage house fee is 15400yen per night. For maximum occupants 5 people, you'll need to pay extra 1100yen per additional person.

To entertain small kids, the campsite provide a small playground for kids to play.

During state of Emergency, only customers in Shizuoka prefecture can make new reservations. And only available to families living together (only one family). Group reservations and use are not possible.

This is the receptionist building, shower-rooms and shop are also located in this building.

When you check-in, the receptionist will hand you a folder full of information about the campsites. Also rules about what you're not allowed to do in campsite area.

Some campsites asked you to bring your trash home. In Ryuyo campsite, they provide trash cans for you to throw away your trash. The trash fee is 100yen and it is included in your booking fee.

If you want to come here by public transportation, there is a free shuttle bus from Iwata station and Toyoda-cho station.
