  It's the lily season now! Lily blooms once a year, and now it is the moment we are all been waiting for. Let me recommend to you the best park to enjoy lilies. Kasui Yuri no Sono Lily Park in Fukuroi city has  a vast amount of blooming lilies (2 million flowers of 150 different kinds).  It is one of the largest lily gardens in Japan, and you can see colorful lilies and hydrangeas in the huge garden surrounding the pond.  There are many koi fish and turtles in the pond, and they sell fish food for 100yen, so you can feed them. The beautiful colorful lilies are in full bloom, it's mesmerizing. There are ups and downs along the way, and there is also a flat course. It is good for walking, so make sure you wear comfortable walking shoes and not sandals. When I entered the park, millions of yellow lily flowers caught my eyes. It's really beautiful. Right in front of Hamana lake, there's a big park called Hamanako Garden Park. This park is very popular among local and domestic tourists. Not only the entrance fee is free, but there are many things to do and enjoy in the park. This park is a perfect place for picnicking, playing with children, or just walking around. In the summer, they will turn on the water fountain and fill up a small pond for kids to play with water. You can take a short boat cruise along the canal, or take a train to explore the park. There are also family bicycles to rent for 1000yen an hour, up to 4 people can ride it, great activity for the whole family to enjoy.  From the observation tower, you can see the beautiful scenery of Garden park and Hamana lake. Before the pandemic, every year during the Golden Week holiday, for 3 days in a row (May 3rd, 4th, 5th) Hamamatsu Matsuri (Festival) is being held. During the pandemic, it was canceled or closed to the public. Fortunately, this year they decided to hold the Hamamatsu kite festival with some outline of the event is slightly changed. Daytime kite flying will be held from May 3rd to 5th from 10AM to 3PM, however, drinking alcohol and thread cutting battles are prohibited. Last year, trumpets and other sounds and musical accompaniment were prohibited, but this year will be allowed in the daytime and only at the kite-flying venue. The night-time palace stalls will not be held in the Hamamatsu downtown area, but it seems that it can be done based on the judgment of the residents' association in each neighborhood. Sejak pertama kali menginjakan kaki di Jepang, 20 tahun yang lalu, saya sudah pernah menggeluti berbagai macam pekerjaan. Tentunya pekerjaan yang halal, walau mungkin tidak terlalu bergengsi. 1. Pramusaji di Hotel Saya pernah bekerja paruh waktu sebagai pramusaji di restoran milik sebuah Business Hotel yang cabangnya ada di seluruh Jepang. Restoran tempat saya bekerja cuma melayani jam breakfast/sarapan para tamu hotel. Sistemnya prasmanan “All you can eat”, makan sepuasnya. Jam kerja antara jam 5 pagi sampai jam 12 siang (fleksibel sesuai kepentingan), karena jam makan pagi para tamu adalah 6:30-10:00. Jadi para staff harus datang lebih awal untuk mempersiapkan makanan dan minuman, serta membereskan semuanya setelah jam makan pagi. Every year Okuyama Houkouji temple held a Firewalking festival. This year, two other iNHama staff and I attended the fire festival, and we even try firewalking barefoot. It is a festival in Hamamatsu City that prays for family safety, disease-free breathing, fire prevention, and elimination of troubles. After the monk's prayer, a Shinto ritual is held by the performer. After submerging the fire of Homa, which is spread over about 5m, a firewalking ceremony is held with the performers at the head, and the general public can also do firewalking. It is said that by walking on the fire, you will burn away the sins you are committing without knowing it, and you will be cleansed both physically and mentally and will receive benefits. Kasuisai shrine has been holding the "Kasuisai Hinamatsuri" since 2015. The 1,200 dolls displayed on 32 steps, which are one of the largest exhibitions in Japan and is likely to reach the ceiling, are spectacular in the hall of the Ryuryukaku. During the period, you can enjoy various exhibits related to the Hinamatsuri, such as sarubobo　（a local amulet, red human-shaped dolls with no face) ,  bamboo work, origami, and it  is crowded with families. Hina Matsuri dolls festival is being held from January 1st (New Year's Day) to March 31st. From 8AM to 5PM at  Kasuisai Mizuryukaku shrine in Fukuroi.  Admission fee / 500 yen <Free for elementary school students and younger> (Admission fee includes indoor peony garden and visits various halls)   You can also taste the limited Shojin Ryori "Hina-gozen", a Buddhist vegetarian meal.
