Hattasan Son-ei-ji Temple in Fukuroi

Image
Today the weather is fine, so I decided to visit Hattasan Son-ei-ji temple. Hattasan temple is about 40 minutes drive from Hamamatsu, it is located in a forest on a mountain in Fukuroi city. When you arrive at the parking lot or bus stop, you will find a path to an old gate 'Nio-mon'. The way to the main buildings of the temple is rather steep and has many steps.  Several minutes walking brings you to the tea stall. Nukumori no Mori The Enchanted Forest

Image
Nukumori no Mori is a place that looks like it came out of a fairytale book, like an enchanted forest where fairies live.  Nukumori no Mori which means Warmth Forest was designed by an architect name Shigeru Sasaki.  The architecture is really impressive and all of the buildings and shops are very charming and cute, and clearly, a lot of thought and imagination went into building this place. It feels almost like a little European village in Japan.  It's a calm and mysterious area that makes you feel like you're in a fairyland. There are many small shops scattered in the small forest surrounded by tall trees. Like  accessories and decoration stores, restaurants, and gelato shops.  Please come and enjoy a fantasy moment away from everyday life. The ticket fee is 400yen for adults and free for Elementary school kids and younger. Nukumori no mori opens from 10AM to 5PM. I would recommend Nukumori no mori to everyone visiting Hamamatsu.  For more information ple...
