Traveling during COVID19 Pandemic with a KID

Image
It was sooo stressful traveling during a pandemic. My journey began at 5AM, I had to drive myself to the airport (and leave the car parked there for a month). A couple of weeks ago when I went to Hamanako, my Navi kept on telling me to take the tolls, so I set the Navi to avoid tolls. On my way to Nagoya airport, I forgot to turn it on, I realized it after a 1-hour drive... But luckily we arrived 2 hours before departure, and still had to wait another 45 minutes to be able to check-in. I had my PCR test prepared 2 days prior, it’s a requirement. If you do the test in a clinic, the price range from ¥25000-¥40000. I did it in a lab of a construction company, I got the info from an administration staff at work. It cost ¥13000 for a PCR saliva test with an English certificate, the result comes out in 6 hours. Altho it’s still expensive, it’s the cheapest in town. kanzanji Ropeway

Image
For those who don't know yet, there is a ropeway ride in Kanzanji where y ou can see Hamanako lake and surround it from above.   Kanzanji ropeway is the only ropeway that crosses a lake in Japan.  From the observatory, you can see Lake Hamana 360 degrees, and it is a popular outing spot recommended for dates and leisure in Shizuoka Hamamatsu. Kanzanji onsen is a spot that has been certified as a "lover's sanctuary". When the air is clear, you can see Mt. Fuji in the distance. There are also musical bells that chime at certain hours playing beautiful music.  The ropeway roundtrip ticket costs 840yen for adults and 420yen for kids. You can also buy a set of ropeway and orgel museum tickets for 1480yen/adult and 720yen for kids.  When visiting and sightseeing in Shizuoka / Hamamatsu and Lake Hamana,  you definitely must ride the "Kanzanji Ropeway" where you can see the magnificent scenery of Lake Hamana.

Kawazu Sakura Festival 2021

Image
Did you know that there is a tree-lined avenue of Kawazu cherry blossoms (cherry blossoms) in Hamamatsu City's suburbs, from Higashi-Oyama to Sakuradai district? Kawazu Sakura festival is so beautiful and mesmerizing. Take a walk along the Hanakawa embankment which located near 2671 Oyama-cho, Nishi-ku, Hamamatsu City, about 5 minutes from the Hamamatsu Nishi Interchange.  About 400 Kawazu cherry blossoms are planted on both sides of approximately 1km along the Hanakawa river banks, and you can see a graceful pink arch.  There is also a big yellow canola field in the Higashi-Oyama area, which makes this place very popular because you can enjoy the contrast between yellow canola with pink Kawazu Sakura!  This spot is also popular as a wedding photoshoot location. During the Sakura Festival, there are stores and a light truck market. On weekends  there are also sales of local products.  The parking lot is free of charge, but the locals provide a donation...
